Dear Pastors and praying friends,
Much has happened since our last writing. We were thrilled to welcome our daughter, Ava, to the world on Nov. 7, 2017. We are so blessed to be her parents, and we praise the Lord for her health. She is growing and changing so much already. She has definitely been a catalyst of change for us as well. Being parents to her has given us a new window to view the thoughts and feelings God would have toward us as a Father. We are blessed on both accounts.
God has blessed, and He is bringing our support in through deputation. We are getting closer and closer to leaving for Indonesia. We will be doing that later on this year. Pray for us as we are making plans for moving to Indonesia, beginning language school, and setting up a home there. We are saving up for those expenses now. The initial move and our first month on the field will be more expensive than our monthly costs. Pray the Lord would meet those needs. We will itemize those needs and be more specific as plans become more sure. Hopefully, we will have a date set and purchase tickets in the near future. That will be our first step.
C.T. Studd wrote in a letter,”Where are all the hardships of China? For we can not find them…I think of all men we have the best life.” Certainly, there were tremendous hardships, but there is joy as well. We are excited about the coming year and all the events the Lord has in store. I think he is right. Of all men we do have the best life.Thank you for thinking of and praying for us. We don’t take that for granted.
To Indonesia with Truth,
Jesse, Faith, and Ava Turpin
