Dear Pastors and praying friends,
Thank you for thinking of and praying for us over the past month. October was very busy, not just with the normal traveling and presenting but also with preparation for a couple of life events for us. The first of which, is our baby girl who is coming along anytime now. Traveling left Faith little time at home to do the normal work of “nesting”. We are so fortunate that churches and Christians are so thoughtful toward us. We have received far more gifts for the baby than we could have imagined. They came through at just the perfect time. It is humbling to think of how good God’s people have been to us. Thank you so much for investing in not just the ministry we will have in Indonesia, but also our family.
Secondly, I had the tremendous honor of being ordained to the Gospel ministry on October 29th. It was a privilege to sit in a room in my home church with men that have invested in me for years. They gave advice and exhorted me to hold to good doctrine. This is the same church I heard the Gospel through some 21 years ago this month. The same church I was baptized in and now ordained in. All of these spiritual milestones in my life happened in or though that local church. I can’t help but think of how few those are in Indonesia. The great need of Indonesia is for churches to be planted and men to be trained. The investment made in me is the same one I hope to make in Indonesians. Pray for us as we look to leave this next year. We are asking God to do big things for us and at the same time, we are reminded of all the great things He has already done in bringing us this far.
To Indonesia with Truth,
Jesse and Faith Turpin
